Bishop Paul S. Davis, Sr.
Bishop Paul Davis, ThD hails from the parish of Manchester on the island of Jamaica. He served faithfully under Bishop Morris during his formative years. After migrating to the United States, then Deacon Davis worked alongside Elder George Samuda at the Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ in Brooklyn, NY under the leadership of Bishop Jabez R. Lewis. Deacon Davis then went to Poughkeepsie, NY to assist with the church there which was also under the leadership of Bishop Lewis.
Bishop Davis felt the urging of the Lord to move with his family in 1995 to Baltimore, MD to assist Bishop Lewis with the ministry there. Bishop Davis served Bishop Lewis faithfully. He was promoted to the office of Minister and Elder under Bishop Lewis’ tutelage.
Bishop Davis holds a Doctoral Degree in Theology and Biblical Studies.
As his years on earth came to a close, Bishop Jabez R. Lewis saw it fit to name Elder Davis his successor and the one who would continue the work of the Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ, Apostolic for such a time as this.
Bishop Paul Davis has latched on to the words of the Lord spoken to Joshua after the death of Moses
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage”
He is determined to lead us on to complete victory.
