Bishop Jabez Rudolph Lewis

At the tender age of 8 years old, Bishop Jabez R. Lewis said yes to the Lord and took on water baptism. Not many days hence, he received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. Bishop Lewis answered the call of God on his life to become a pastor at the age of 17 and has not turned back since.

With over 70 years in ministry, Bishop Lewis was no novice to the Word of God and has preached thousands of messages to as many people in countless churches from Jamaica to Canada, the United Kingdom, Haiti and the United States to name a few.

With his wife, Evangelist Milda Lewis by his side, his message was simply this: Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, live a holy and clean life free from sin and let all that you have heard from the beginning and that dwells within the precious pages of the Holy Bible remain within your heart.

With all his heart he believed that Holiness Unto The Lord must always be our watchword and song.

Bishop Lewis continued to preach this gospel wherever he went - without fear, favor or fanaticism.

Our beloved Bishop Lewis finished his course and went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2017

His Legacy will live on Forever

I have made my choice forever, I will walk with Christ my Lord

We at the Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic are deeply committed to the cause of Christ and His church and to pointing souls to Calvary so that they can find salvation.

I thank God for His mercies which has enabled us to continue in the faith for these many years and even until today. God has chosen us for this Christian journey and He empowers us with patience so that we can stay our course.

For those who have already started in their Christian pathway who have been baptized in Jesus' Name and have received the Holy Ghost, let us continue in this race.

For those who have not yet come to know Jesus and the power of His salvation, I invite you to attend a church that preaches the true gospel of Christ Jesus and to receive His name. I will give you a guarantee that Jesus Christ will never leave you nor will He forsake you.

Let us all continue to press on in this race - all the while holding on to that which we have heard from the beginning.

Holiness unto the Lord must always be our watchword and song.

May the Lord God continue to bless you both now and forevermore.

Bishop Jabez R. Lewis, D.D.
